Agent Installation Error: unable to extract ddspkg.inf Print


When installing a Signiant Agent, the installation fails with the following error: unable to extract ddspkg.inf.


This can happen for two reasons:

  1. The sigsetup.inf file is corrupt. Download a new copy of the sigsetup.inf file from your Signiant Manager and run the install again.

  2. The host is a Windows machine and the Agent's defined temporary directory cannot be created on the system drive (usually C:\tmp).
    Verify that your account has administrator rights on the host.
    Verify that ACL restrictions allow the installer to create the temporary directory on the system drive (usually C:\tmp).
