Unable to save user changes due to missing Media Exchange guest user group Print


Problem

I made changes to a user and when I clicked Save, I see the following error message:

Could not find userGroup with specified username:group_media_exchange_guest_users

Resolution

This error occurs when the Media Exchange Guest Users Group is deleted from the Signiant Manager. To resolve the issue do one of the following:
  • Restore from a backup

    ​If there were no changes to the Signiant Manager after the group was deleted, or if it is not necessary to preserve any changes since the group was deleted, you can restore the Signiant Manager from the backup taken before the deletion of the group.

     
  • Manually recreate the group and modify it in the database to give it the required attributes

    Please note that manually editing the database should never be attempted without the guidance of technical support. Please contact support for details with this step.
